Happy 2019!! I hope everyone had an amazing holiday season♥ I'm so excited to be doing a new blog post. Things got so hectic with my business and side jobs that the blog got put on the back burner for a bit. I also felt a little discouraged because blogging seems to be less popular than it used to be. Everyone wants videos and fast content (myself included!) But sometimes it's nice to take a break and read for a bit. So if you're reading this, please know that I appreciate you.
Now, let's get into the changes! I'm already feeling great about where my journey is heading. I'm simplifying my workload (ie. no longer - hopefully - working dusk til dawn). I want to work smarter and more efficiently, in order to be the best entrepreneur I can possibly be. This includes discontinuing some services, quitting some side jobs, and taking on a new adventure.
As mentioned in one of my earlier blog posts, I had a lot of side hustles when I started my business. I did Uber, social media and photography for a local bar, and online teaching. I've also been doing dog walking, boarding, pet check-ins, markets, and my retail orders online and in stores. I truly enjoy almost every minute of it, but it has been very exhausting.
While I've loved the services portion of my business, I always knew they wouldn't be permanent. My main objective has always been the retail portion of Fluff. Also, once Stella got sick, I knew it was in her best interest to focus on her health and to keep our home as calm as possible. I have finished up my boardings and check-ins that were already booked, so I will no longer be offering these services. I cannot express my gratitude for the support I received the past two years.
So what does 2019 have in store for me? I will be continuing to grow my online business, doing local shows, AND starting a part time job at ShopEco! That last part was hard to hold in. I've been so excited to start this role in such a lovely, local shop. They focus on self-care, clean beauty, and overall wellness. I truly believe in their values, and can't wait to get started.
I'll also still be teaching online because I love it so much. I teach super early - it's morning for me/nighttime for the children in China - so it doesn't take away from the rest of my workday. If you'd like a separate post about how I got started doing this, please let me know. It's been a wonderful experience.
I feel like I'm forgetting so many things, but hopefully I got it all. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and for your support. I can't believe it's almost been two years since I quit my conventional job and threw myself into the entrepreneurial life. But I couldn't be happier with my decision. Here's to a great year!

Thank you so much Cherie! Stella is doing SO much better. She’s taking daily medication and getting a shot at the vet once a month.
Taylor,
I was looking for jobs I could do from home and that would offer flexible hours. I stumbled across a company called QKids and applied right away. It’s really amazing! Here’s my referral link in case you ever want to apply:

I’d be happy to answer any other questions/help out with the application process. You have to submit a video of yourself reading a children’s book. It was super awkward and nerve wracking for me, but it all worked out :)
Thank you Vanessa!! I did Uber for about 3 or so months. I wasn’t cut out for that life haha but it was definitely interesting.
How did you get started teaching online? I would love to hear more about it!
Wishing you continued success, and shorter working days. Hope Stella is doing better. Looking forward to your posts in 2019
